Men experiencing labor pains!!
Now in all honesty after close to 6 months the intense memories of the pain of labor has begun to escape me... But I'll see if I can explain what I remember...
-Insane amounts of pressure on my pelvis!
-I remember it feeling like someone was blowing a balloon up in my uterus and JUST went it felt like it was about to pop its like the air let out...
-My back felt like it was going to snap in half
-I felt like I was going to snap in half!
-The anticipation of the next contraction coming on was awful... Youd start to feel normal again and then you slowly start feeling the pressure build up again and your like "#%$%^"
Before I had Jackson everyone said contractions felt like really bad period cramps but I completely disagree! There was nothing like this pain ever in my life! I swear God designed it so that we would begin to forget the intensity of it or everyone would just stop at 1!
So without further adieu, I hope you all enjoy..... Men in Labor:
What I wouldnt give to get my hands on that machine! lol
Hope you enjoyed as much as I did!
And for anyone interested in my Labor and Delivery story..... :-)

Our labor and delivery stories are similar in so many ways so I cried going through the memories and the emotions. Ha I had my son at 19 (22 now as of today!) and my water broke naturally as well (I had just got through going to the bathroom, turned to flush, POP and my pants were soaked ha). I labored for 22 hours total but active labor for 8 almost 9 hours! I was told my son wasn't getting enough oxygen and was flips all sorts of ways in hope that his heart rate would normalize. I ended up having an emergency c-section and my son was born at 3:43 am 09-05-10! He wasn't as fortunate and had to stay in the NICU for almost two weeks and I had to leave the hospital without him. Hardest thing ever. My heart was shattered, the pain from the csection was still killer (tried to manage the pain as best as I could without all the meds every 4 hours) and my boobs felt like they were going to explode (no baby to empty them and my first pump sucked (later I got an amazing medela swing). He's now this amazingly active and smart 2.5 year old! Oh man where did my baby go?! Enjoy this beautiful ride! :)
ReplyDeleteOh and I follow you on Instagram under the same name (chasingmatty) and I can't wait to continue to keep up with your beautiful family! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! I was soooo afraid of having to leave him at the hospital! Thankfully he was released even before I was! I would've slept in the damn car outside before leaving him lol I'm sure you felt the same! So proud if you for your strength! It's crazy the things we can endure!
